Introduction
Following the planned closure of the Enfield Borough Over 50s Forum on 8 June 2026, we are exploring whether a new, independent organisation can continue some valued services, communication, and community benefits.
This is not a continuation of the existing Forum, but an opportunity to build something new, simpler, and more sustainable for those who wish to remain involved.
Why This Matters
- Regular communication and updates
- Access to member benefits and discounts
- A sense of community and connection
- A platform for sharing information and activities
Without an alternative, these services will come to an end. This initiative is about understanding whether members would like to see something continue in a new form.
What Happens Next
At this stage, no decisions have been made. We are simply asking whether there is enough interest from members to support a new organisation.
If there is sufficient interest, a new organisation would be developed gradually, with a focus on keeping costs low, providing practical value, and ensuring long-term sustainability.

We would welcome your suggestions. What would you like to see in a future organisation?
